Browsing to experience “a new work or a new sound” I had no idea when choosing the Album “Moonscapes: Cosmological Impressions” that one single movement of sound, EDEN, would take up countless hours of thought and energy after its lening experience. I had been listening to Carlos’ music played on Sunday afternoon broadcasts from Berkeley, California and liked them. ver I had no idea of the magnitude of genius Carlos delivered to electronic orchestral sound. When finding EDEN I played it over and over for weeks at high volume, driving others out of my home for hours. To me EDEN is one of most provocatively stirring works ever written, destined to live in my imagination forever, never fang to move me into another dimension by its emotional blasts of triumph that I liken to Samuel Barber’s Adagio, as a perfect arch of soun movement and pitch.

Carlos is the creator of the World’s First Electronic Orchestra completely within the Electronic Digital Music Realm... Wendy Carlos studied music and physics, worked in New York as a recording engineer with Robert Moog on the Firstyboard Synthesizers in the early 1960s- The Moog Synthesizer.
The Father and Forerunner of Electronic Synthesizer Music, Wendy Carlos, is arguably, one of the most important synthesis’s of the 20th century and was listened to in awe with her early "Switched-On Bach ", but her genius ability toke the synthesizer expressive and dynamic is matched by few, if any.
In 1982 Wendy Carlos built a virtual library, of electronic voices, replicating acoustic instruments.
All sounds on this 1984 recording were fine-tuned by ear, without digital sampling or microphones. Its careful balance between natural room-sound ambience and three dimensional stereo placements giving the recording an uncanny sense "scrim free" orchestral transparency.
Composer for the Disney movie Tron 2.0, Wendy is known as "the pioneer of development in digital sound or electronic sound by a synthesizer."
Living in California, Carlos' first album Switched-On Bach was a huge success with three Grammy awards and chart fame for more than 300 weeks. Carlos’ music for movies, include Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange, and The Shining.
